IMPORTANT – Essex County Council’s Official Response to my Child’s Suicide Attempt.

This was about a week after my child attempted suicide.

This is Essex County Council’s official response regarding a child on a child in need plan attempting suicide.

That right there is Essex County Council’s official response for myself asking for an investigation regarding serious safeguarding concerns regarding my child’s suicide attempt.

There is a huge difference between what Essex Children’s Services say they do, putting the child at the heart of everything they do, and what they do in reality.

Essex County Council have admitted there they have ‘used their discretion’ to refuse to investigate my child’s suicide attempt. In plain speak that means they freely decided to just ignore a suicide attempt made by a child on a child in need, ignore it in it’s entirety.

Essex County Council does not take safeguarding children seriously, they don’t take complaints seriously, so I raised a concern against a social worker with the social worker regulator (SWE). Which i’m not going to talk about because it’s got nothing to do with Essex County Council, it’s got nothing to do with safeguarding, it’s got nothing to do with how children are treated like they are a piece of rubbish by Essex Children’s Services.

The failures that led to my child attempting suicide have not been investigated at all, by anyone, they cannot be investigated by SWE because the failures are with Essex Children’s Services and not with individual social workers. The failures are to do with how Essex Children’s Services safeguard vulnerable children.

The failures are to do with how Essex Children’s Services tortured my child until they felt that death was a better option than living.

They admit to using their discretion to not investigate extremely serious safeguarding issues, then they blame the victim’s mother. Actually in reality they are blaming my child for not investigating, I did not submit anything without my children’s consent and desire for what happened to them to not happen to any other child.

“What if they do this to a child who cannot speak up?” Direct quote from one of my children when the subject of complaints was raised.

One of my children even made their own complaint, details of which are on this blog regarding Jo Prosser. My child’s complaint was never investigated by Essex County Council. Jo Prosser decided that because my child has autism that a pat on the head and being told my child is a good child would be sufficient. Seriously, the way Jo Prosser talked to a then 16 year old child with autism was the same as how you would talk to a three year old. My child actually commented after the meeting that they felt that Jo Prosser treated them like they were stupid and three years old

This is why i’m so angry. It’s because my children wanted their voices heard, they relied on me to get their voices heard, I relied on Essex Children’s Services to allow their voices to be heard, and they used their discretion to not investigate.

Although as per Paul Turner’s ‘investigation’ it’s now because my complaint was late. Which is utter nonsense, whether that was made up by Shamsun Noor or by Paul Turner, the overarching objective of Essex Children’s Services has been, and continues to be, the protection of Essex Children’s Services.

Screw my children, they don’t matter. Screw the fact that the child who made the suicide attempt may try again, my child’s life doesn’t matter.

Screw the fact that I have another child with psychosis due to the torture that child was put through and who is also suicidal, my child’s life doesn’t matter.

Screw the fact that another child was missing from education for 4 years and Essex County Council did every single thing they could to avoid giving a child with SEND a statutory enducation. That child’s independence and education doesn’t matter.

Screw the fact that another child has been missing from education for almost two years, again, Essex County Council are refusing to do anything because my child has SEND. School and other professionals agree on what my child needs to get them back into education. Essex County Council are happy to do absolutely nothing at all while my child sits at home every single day instead of receiving any form of education. Not to mention the mental health problems that child has, it’s the one who Billie Faulkner and Gabriel Lowrie managed to convince that my child had witnessed his siblings being absolutely normal before 2011 and then a sudden change in their behaviour in 2011. Child was between 2 and a half and 3 and a half in 2011. The damage that has done is immeasurable. Child realised that couldn’t have been true last February, and that is when child absolutely fell apart and has had some kind of mental breakdown. Not to mention the trauma my child experienced by other actions of Essex County Council. “They ruined my childhood”, that is an exact quote.

If Helen Lincoln is asked by someone who she actually feels isn’t beneath her to respond to why serious safeguarding issues including a suicide attempt by a child on a child in need plan have not been investigated, her response can only be “We decided to use our discretion not to”. Then she could add “After 5 different false excuses we then decided the complaint was late”.

That will have to be her response when the press contact her, or anyone else at Essex County Council regarding what happened to my children.

When OFSTED contact Helen Lincoln or anyone at Essex County Council to ask why investigating serious safeguarding issues is solely reliant on a customer complaint and why didn’t they investigate, Helen Lincoln will have to tell OFSTED it’s because they decided to use their discretion not to.

I’ve mentioned lot’s of different officers employed by Essex County Council on this blog, including social workers.

Every single thing they have done has been on behalf of Essex County Council. Given that everything that happened to my children was done by Essex Children’s Services, it is more accurate to say that every single officer i’ve written about on this blog has been acting on behalf of Essex Children’s Services. Given that Helen Lincoln is the Executive Director for Children’s Services, all officers have been acting on her behalf. So the above screenshot i’ve posted, those words were written on Helen Lincoln’s behalf.

Helen Lincoln is fine with what has happened. Helen Lincoln is fine with serious safeguarding issues not being investigated. Helen Lincoln is absolutely fine that my child attempted suicide. Helen Lincoln is absolutely fine with what my child stated to whoever would listen regarding the cause of that suicide attempt. Helen Lincoln is absolutely fine if my child makes another attempt.

I know this because i’ve contacted her, I think it’s three times. Absolutely no response.

Officers acting on her behalf told me that in effect Helen Lincoln was using her discretion to not investigate serious safeguarding issues, including a suicide attempt. Officers acting on Helen Lincoln’s behalf have now told me 6 different excuses, including Paul Turner, acting on behalf of Helen Lincoln, telling me that despite the 5 previous false excuses, my complaint was somehow late but they only just decided that after the other 5 excuses.

Then she tells everyone who is important, not children, she doesn’t care about them, that her precious children’s services at the heart of everything they do.

It’s not just the suicide which is a serious safeguarding issue. It’s the brainwashing of myself, it’s the brainwashing of my then 10 year old child, it’s the forced disclosure of sexual abuse over the phone while my children were present.

It’s all of it.

Helen Lincoln is not fit to safeguard a goldfish, let alone vulnerable children.

The screenshot together with what Paul Turner did is why I don’t want any contact with Essex County Council. I’m absolutely sick of the lies, the excuses, the total lack of compassion towards my children.

I don’t want to hear it anymore, it’s caused me a lot of mental health problems and led to my complete mental breakdown last year.

What’s worse is they knew what they were doing, the utter lack of compassion towards a child who had attempted suicide is sickening.

Helen Lincoln cannot say they put children at the heart of everything they do and then be responsible for that screenshot.

Children are only important to her when people are looking, the same with the rest of Essex County Council. As soon as eyes aren’t on her and it’s a situation, such as mine, when external eyes aren’t watching, she literally couldn’t care less if a child lives or dies.

That is the truth.

Helen Lincoln and Essex County Council couldn’t care less if my child lives or dies, as long as it doesn’t come back on them, then it’s not an issue they can be bothered with.

That screenshot proves that Helen Lincoln would be more than happy to let my child die. She hasn’t got a conscience.

I am certain that when more facts are published about the baby boy who died last August, Helen Lincoln with feign sorrow, she won’t feel a thing for that baby, it won’t have affected her at all, she will just make up some rubbish about how sorry she is, when in reality she honestly doesn’t care.
