I just made a complaint to Essex County Council

Regarding my child missing 4 years of education because the local authority did nothing but mess my child around.

Child has high SEND needs that means a mainstream education is unsuitable, not just unsuitable, but something my child cannot access.

So ECC just did nothing.

I just wasn’t in the correct place to make the complaint earlier, the thought of making another complaint given how corrupt the likes of Robbie Watson-Levey and Shamsun Noor are were a huge barrier.

Now I actually don’t care.

Not expecting my complaint to be handed fairly, not because it’s me making it, but solely because the complaints department are not fit for purpose, i’ve heard so many stories, all similar to mine.

Marion Galinis is no longer there, I know that, someone gave me the heads up, unsure if she’s just moved roles, left, or retired.

My money is on retired given her age, she has a daughter who is about 40 so that also gives credence to retirement being likely as Marion will be over 65.

The same with Beverly Sargeant, though I don’t know if she’s left, but her job was advertised, although there are two of those jobs.

She is also old enough to retire. I’ve actually met her in person so i’ve seen her up close.

There was definitely nothing on her part that indicated her being there with the purpose of accidently bumping into me, it was in my town, but nobody could ever have predicted we’d be at that place at the exact same time.

I smiled at her because I recognised her though couldn’t quite place how I knew her, she smiled back, I guess because she couldn’t place me either. Then I realised who she was.

I sent the complaint yesterday, Friday 26th November, i’ll get a response within 10 working days apparently. So that will be by the 11th December.

My hopes aren’t high, i’m certain they will come up with some excuse as to why, especially in the last 2 years, they failed to provide any kind of education for my child.

We did our bit, one EHCP, which was refused saying something else should be tried. Three applications and one appeal to try and get the service they said should be tried, and then a non statutory virtual thing which was not accessible due to the level of SEND needs my child has.

Pretty impressive even for Essex County Council.

Not to mention this occurred at a vital time in my child’s development, especially with a view to life skills and engaging with peers.

Essex County Council SEND were happy to leave a child with a high level of SEND needs to just sit at home doing absolutely nothing. They were not bothered by it at all.

So i’ll wait for the response and then send it to the LGO.

I’m 99.9% sure I know what the response will be, obvious response is obvious.

In January 2019 Essex County Council SEND got told they were rubbish by Ofsted.

Nothings changed.

I’ll post the complaint, although I have to redact a lot of it for privacy.

I’ll likely forget to post it though.
